Chigwell Nursery

Work on this project started with landscape and visual issues feasibility advice to assist with shaping the aspirations for development and zoning of proposed development within the available land. This led to local pan allocation and release of a parcel of land from the Green Belt. A few years following this, Nigel was involved with the development of detailed proposals and attended Quality Review Panel sessions, presenting on LVA and landscape design matters. LVA reporting and Green Belt Appraisal work, together with landscape strategy development were then provided for planning application proposals.

Unfortunately, the application was refused by Epping Forest District Council and the case had to be taken to appeal. Nigel attended as an expert witness at the appeal hearing. Evidence given covered subjects including LVA issues and residential visual amenity assessment (RVAA). The appeal was successful and a full award of costs was also granted.
